Step 1: Preparation Begin by inverting the model when installing the Mikado Driver with Traction Tire. Be sure to fully and carefully support and cushion the model to prevent the model from falling over and/or causing damage to other parts. (This is NOT done here for photography reasons.) |

Step 2: Unscrewing the locking shoe Remove the two screws with a screwdriver and lift off the brake shoe plate. |

Step 3: Removing the old driver Lift out the standard #4 Driver and replace with the Mikado Driver with Traction Tire. |
Step 4: Aligning the Traction Driver To drop the Mikado Driver with Traction Tire into the model frame, the brass-colored bearing behind each wheel must be fitted squarely into slot. |

Step 5: Inspection Check to see that the newly installed driver is properly oriented with the other drivers and connecting rod on each side. If it is not, lift out, reposition wheel and re-insert. |

Step 6: Reassembly Check to see that the newly installed driver is properly oriented with the other drivers and connecting rod on each side. If it is not, lift out, reposition wheel and re-insert. |
