Interior Lighting Safety: A common cause of damage to a car with installed interior lighting is improper placement of the reflective foil. The foil is designed to reflect not only light, but also heat, away from the roof of the car. It is important that in any light kit installation that the foil extends FULLY over the top of the bulb or LED kit to make sure that heat is being transmitted away from the roof of the car.
Lubrication: Because the RDC is a motorized unit, like a locomotive it will require occasional lubrication to keep it running smoothly. Instructions are provided above for the appropriate locations for lubricant application, as well as how to take the car apart to do it. If you are uncomfortable with the thought of disassembling your RDC, we recommend you contact a local hobby shop for assistance.
