Canadian National RDCs were known as "Dayliners" and were extremely prolific in their use. They were unique in their ability to make non-standard stops without a need for a station, as seen here on this RDC-3.
The Canadian Pacific "Railiners", like their Dayliner bretheren, were extremely popular and widely used in both Canada and the northern United States. Like all RDCs, they didn't have to rely on other cars or locomotives due to their self-propelled nature which granted them near limitless versatility for passenger transport.
