All of our domestic orders are shipped via UPS. If you must ship to a P.O. Box, please note it in the comments section of your order and we will send via USPS. Be aware that the shipping charges for USPS may differ from the listed UPS charges and are subject to change. You will be sent an invoice with the final shipping charges if you request an alternate shipping method.
Please note that all shipping costs listed on the site are estimates, and may differ depending on quantity and packing. Your credit card is NOT automatically charged when you place an order so that we can better ensure an accurate billing.
We ship via post to all destinations outside of North America. As shipping costs can vary a great deal depending on the destination, we cannot offer a shipping estimate prior to ordering. We will provide you with an invoice with your final total including shipping before charging and shipping your order.
If your country charges import duties (such as VAT), payment of these fees is the sole responsibility of the recipient. Please check with your country's postal service about these fees if you have any questions.
Combining Multiple Orders
If you wish to combine multiple orders (for example: a parts order placed via our main website with a locomotive order from our shopping site), please make a note to that effect in the comments section of your order. We will do our best to combine the shipments to save on your shipping costs. A final invoice with your total charges will be sent with the shipment.
Once sold, Kato USA can only accept returns for unopened and unused merchandise within 30 days of receipt. Please contact us through our contact form or by phone at 847-781-9500 prior to returning merchandise. Kato USA cannot refund shipping costs or offer returns on items that have been damaged upon receipt. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about our return policies.
