Introducing the "Super Chief". It was inaugurated in 1935 as Santa Fe’s premier passenger train from Chicago to Los Angeles, running through the great American Southwest with first class accommodations only and offering fine dining, great scenery and a fast 39 hr 45 min trip between Chicago and Los Angeles. The "Super Chief" was patronized by many stars of Hollywood, giving the "Super Chief" a glamorous image and making it the most recognizable passenger train in the United States.
You can enjoy "The Super Chief" by Kato on your very own layout. Run it as a full consist of an F7A-F7B-F7B or F7A- F7B-F7B-F7A for head end power. Then add each of the beautiful 4 car sets offered by Kato giving you a complete 12 car first class train.
You can also enjoy "The Super Chief" operating it with a F7A and 1 four-car set running it through the scenery on your very own layout. You can, over time, expand it into a larger "Super Chief" as your space permits.
